Mexico Part 2 (Fairmont Mayakoba)

Day 2 - Serenity

This is what I woke up to. Sunlight - ah I haven't seen you in a while. One of the things I was excited for that morning aside from the sunlight and the beach was the food. Yep, who doesn't love breakfast buffets?

So I hurriedly went to the washroom to wash up and boo!

Gotta love the sunlight while taking a shower. This would definitely be my dream washroom..

The time I got a DSLR and broke my point and shoot, odd as it sounds but I stopped taking as much pictures. Now its a regret.

this doesn't look appetizing but that white bread (that resembles a pineapple bun) is absolutely amazing! My favorite part of every breakfast buffet is the omelette station! nom nom nom

We head back to our room and surprise! our room was cleaned and we got this lovely card with a painting of this bird, facts about it and weather forecasts for the next day...

OOTD picture time. Hi ya!

Did I ever tell you about the golf carts that roams around the resort? They are the means of transportation around. The beach is kinda far, and I never tried walking to there.

Its just sad that the sea isn't calm during my stay at Mexico. They put up these warning flags along the shore, it was always red (dangerous) while I was there. 

Since we cant really swim in the sea we decided to go back to the main pool (which was the biggest pool in the resort)  instead and ended up sleeping haha!

We woke up around 1pm? and decided to head out to 5th Avenue. People over the internet says this is a tourist trap. Its kinda like a flea market? streets are lined with shops, cafe's, art galleries, bars etc etc. I haven't done much research prior to the trip but we wanted to see where the people goes to... 

We also decided to have our late lunch / afternoon snack but the plenty restaurants and cafe around made it so hard to decide. I don't remember the name of the place we went to, for sure it was a Mexican restaurant.

We checked out the public beach over this side and was shocked about all the junks and cigarette butts in the sand. So we decided to go head back to the resort.

It was already starting to get dark by the time we were back at our resorts beach. It was just the two of us which was nice but kind of creepy too. there's a lot of this bat looking birds flying around haha.!

We tried using up the film of our underwater camera but the waves were so strong so I ended up scraping my knee on the rocks. 

My boyfriend was funny! this is a side of him that I haven't seen before. He was so worried and even called for a life guard for first aid. haha! It was already late so there's no one watching the shores. He went to the nearest restaurant and asked for first aid so they had to call and radio for the first aid. When the life guard arrived my boyfriend was telling him not to use any latex on me or I might get an allergic reaction. :)

LSS. Its all my friend Albert's fault. Hmm now Im quite curious about how I only saw / met Albert a few times (prolly even less than 10 times) and yet I consider him as one of my few friends. haha!

Anyway this picture is about 2 weeks old. I like how this photo turned out. All the colors mixed well together (and I wasnt just talking about my clothes).

I just miss having friends...

CI : In the Mountain with my 4" Heels

If you remember last year I did the Tourism challenge with my Mom and 2 of her friends [click] Well this year, I finally got to have my own passport and i kind of promised my boyfriend to take him with me. XD Luckily we both got Tuesday off. 

So basically we get this little booklet passport thingy with a list of participating attractions and hotels around BC. What we have to do is visit these attractions (sometimes they give out questions to answer) then youll get a stamp. For more info about the tourism challenge -- [click]

My boyfriend picked me up at around 12 noon, He couldn't get up any earlier as he finished work at 1:30am the previous day :/ . So anyhoo we drove all the way to Amato Gelato Cafe... to park LOL. Science World was just a few minute walk away and its also part of the Challenge so we decided to go there first.

I didn't get to take much pictures as I was having too much fun being a kid again :)) So after answering the questions and getting the stamp we head back to his car. Not really its his twin brother's car XD And since it's hard to go around Downtown with a car we decided to go North.

Twenty eleven brought a lot of changes.. I thought about giving up this blog, but I ended up keeping it (glad I did).. though 2010 had been more exciting, 2011 brought a lot of unexpected and yummy things.. XD

XCII : I want to Believe

 

 My mom is watching X files and the title caught my attention..
 I want to believe in a lot if things so.... ^^;

Out of boredom, I skimmed through my almost-a-hundred-blog-posts and I realized that I never really updated this blog. I used to talk about the things happening in my life and I didn't do that for uh 6 mos?

Ive been saying that I was busy at school / work .. well I went on food trips in between. I went to an amusement park last August (and yeah I still didnt rode roller coasters haha). I turned twenty and I finally tried bowling..

Anyway fast forward to present....

The picture above were taken yesterday at a Korean restaurant in downtown. Oh yeah that too, Ive been eating a lot of Korean foods lately hehehe.

LXXXVI: Where was I?

Its been quite a while
Another quarter ended
goodbye teenage days
I am officially twenty <3
and happy 1st year to Vancouver and I

I really missed blogging
I didnt had any day offs until last week~
I go to school 5 days a week
and work 5 days a week as well
so I only get the half day off..
I was that busy yet I still managed to do some slacking
LOL
2nd quarter was fun
I made friends with a lot of my classmates
Culinary school is really one of the best things that happened in my life <3

Weird, I know
I always take on two sides
cause Im decisive like that
haha

I was such a pessimist before

and I always always bring myself down

but Im glad I had outgrown that

Im proud to say that Im becoming more independent

more responsible, punctual!! confident and most of all POSITIVE

What seems to be impossible before

is now just a few steps ahead.

My dreams are now my goals!

and Im learning how to prioritize things

though I still have to learn how not to spend all my extra money on food and camera LOL

Anyway I had the opportunity to meet and talk to 

the Executive Chef at the Fairmont Pacific Rim

and guess what?

This award winning chef

just told this aspiring chef

that she's fantastic!

He even introduced this girl
to the Head of the Stewarding Department
talked to the HR about her
and since he knew her future chef instructors~
He asked him to say hi for him

ieeee

I hope things turn out well.

Im Fantastic anyway!!

so they should hire me

LOL

now lets all go chasing after our dream!!

LVIX: New Friends

seriously there are times when I just wanna close this blog

And I so cant decide whether I should or not apply
at Capilano University
for Rehabilitation Medicine, since I used to study Physical Therapy
itll be something related..


I attended an information session yesterday
and it sounds great
but I also want to study Baking and Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts at VCC
and its always been my dream to be in the Culinary field


Anyway I made a new friend ~
I met her at Capilano University
she also attended the info session for the Rehab medicine program
She kind of approached me and wanted to make friends haha

Her name is Elise
She's from S.Korea
and its funny how the people I am meeting here are mostly Koreans
Elise told me that she went to study English in the Philippines before

and she was really surprised that I am Filipino

she said she thought I was Chinese :))

haha do I really not look like a Filipino :?


I also went to the Vancouver Aquarium last last week?

Uhm I love watching and drawing anime

so I got interested with the Japanese culture

I tried self-learning the language

sometime during high school

that Katakana and Hiragana became our secret code

when it comes to exchanging letters with my friends during class

Im 19 y/o

and  i dont want to get any older than this :(

My hair is half rebonded and half permed

My hair was done by a Korean stylist~~ so maybe thats why you guys are always asking me if Im half Korean hahaha (cause of my hair ? XD probably)

Im not a model 

even my teacher asked me if I was a model during the first day of class

and even a security guard from a grocery store once stopped me and asked if i was a model LOL!

I did a VTR for a modeling agency and signed under them before though

I did a few segments for a lifestyle TV show
a few photo shoots and stuffs but nah I dont really consider my self as a model~
