CXXIII : Christmas in January

Im probably one of the worst bloggers out there.. Writing about something that happened a month ago..

Anyway its the first time I went to my work's staff party.. Im starting to feel very very lazy in dolling up. I was hesitant to come but everyone in Pastry is coming so I did. I got an extra ticket expecting somebody to be my date but almost everyone I asked was busy.. or they just didnt want to be with me LOL either way I got a last minute date... Czarina, my classmate from Culinary school. yay!

I didnt took much pictures. Like what I said I was lazy.. I didnt want to carry a dslr so I only have my phone and my instax mini that day..

I ditched right after dinner.. which kind of got me in trouble.. The next day my chef said Id better have a good reason for leaving early without even saying bye or taking a group pic with the whole pastry team. XD

So many awkward moments during that night.. mostly because most people didnt recognized me.. TT I must really really look ugly during work eh?

CXX : Seventh Year

My mom told me that people change every after 7 years. And by change, thats not a mere physical change. Spiritually we do too, we change souls, thus explaining a sudden change in an individuals personality. If it was the case then Ive changed my soul for the third time.. Lets see.. I still cant tolerate the smell of strong coffee and Im still as indecisive as before. blah blah blah

These were taken the day I went to Capilano Bridge... again! Cant get enough of this place. Seriously I need to bring a photo buddy next time!

Really.. I need a friend, someone who like taking pictures and travelling, any volunteer?

PS: Im weird and I like taking pictures of myself. this is my attempt on doing a sexy.ish pose. and obviously I fail. My chubby cheeks and fat legs arent really suited for "sexy" sigh' thank you food. thank you work.

   

CXVII : Tanned

I don't know why I chose to wear orange.. I have always looked weird in orange and or in green

Anyway maybe about three weeks ago Mom took us to the beach.. I also bought a new camera lens for I find it hard to take pictures with the 50mm that i originally have.. So yeah I have this huge bag for my DSLR and another one for my instant camera and another one for the tripod. Geez such a photographer wanna be. I was expecting to take a lot of pictures but but the beach / water look soooooooo empty..its just ugh water, seaweed, more seaweed

IDK I probably was just used to the beautiful white sanded beaches in the tropical island of the Philippines. But nonetheless I enjoyed looking at the big houses around~ One day I say...

While Jessica was setting up the tripod... a man came and since Jessica and her tripod was on the way the guy was waiting at the side... 

*moves stuffs*

Me : You can go ^^

Stranger : Thank you. Anyeong Haseyo

Me : *wondering if I heard it right* ????

Stranger : Youre Korean right? Anyeong Haseyo

Me : Oh sorry, Im not Korean but Anyeong Haseyo to you too~

And.. I always just gotta take a picture of a stranger or something~~

CXVI : Gelato and Boredom

Two things that don't go well together..

Those who had been following me on instagram must have seen this picture a looooong time ago. Told you I have been procrastinating. Hmm I kind of did a mini photoshoot months ago after cleaning my room. I have tons of clothes that I dont even use including this romper so I was thinking of having a blog sale.. should I? 

Changing the topic.. 

The winner of the 2012 Florence Italy Gelato Festival.. both Technical Jury and Peoples Choice first placer is just outside below LOL i dont even know how to describe it. Theres always a loooooooooooooong line here so I felt bad for people waiting if I was going to take pictures...

this is probably my uhm.. tenth time at Bella Gelateria so I already know what I want.. Yuzu Sorbet and the Sea Salt Caramel.. bliss~ 

And you know.. something cool had happened.. James Coleridge aka Vancouver's father of Gelato and owner of the said store, the one who won on that Gelato festival competition.. Introduced himself and even asked for my name..

It happened last Saturday? or was it Friday? .. anyways they were defrosting their freezers and as neighbours, we shared our freezer with them (in case you werent aware I work in the Pastry department of a hotel) so yeah I was working when James (or should it be Chef James?) came to take his gelato back. This wasnt the first time though, they already borrowed our freezers a couple of times but Im too shy to start a conversation. He would just smile at me and say thank you but that day after the usual thank you.. he introduced himself and asked for my name @__@ waaa... then I learned about how one of my favorite gelato flavor would be his next entry for an upcoming gelato competition this September. He even told me to come over to have a taste...

sooo cool.. but I still feel so shy~ Do I go like, Hi James do you remember me? Im here to collect my ice cream.. hahaha! that sounds sooo weird

and see more of my weirdness.. most of the times i would take random pictures, without looking at the screen, shots from the hip (lomography rule #4) ;)

LSS. Its all my friend Albert's fault. Hmm now Im quite curious about how I only saw / met Albert a few times (prolly even less than 10 times) and yet I consider him as one of my few friends. haha!

Anyway this picture is about 2 weeks old. I like how this photo turned out. All the colors mixed well together (and I wasnt just talking about my clothes).

I just miss having friends...

CV: Stamp Collecting

A few weeks ago me and some co-workers went out to do the tourism Challenge. I actually finished mine the week before but since it was my day off I decided to come with them.

So we met at the Canada Place where we were supposed to take the Hop On-Hop Off Buses but all the buses were full so we ended up taking the shuttle to the Capilano Suspension Bridge..

The last time I went here there was only 5 people in that bridge but look how many there are today..

We went back to Downtown for lunch at a Japanese Restaurant somewhere in Robson.. I told you I became really picky with food after Culinary school.. so I didnt really enjoyed the food. ><

We then went to Fairmont Pacific Rim (work) to meet up with Joshua and get a stamp from the Cafe. 

Then we went to Gastown and rode one of those Tour buses

We got off somewhere near Granville Island and rode a ferry to Vanier Park..

We then rode the trolley to Chinatown --- Dr. Sun Yat Sen Garden and walked all the way to the Vancouver Lookout to get their final stamp and our Tourism challenge ID.
