CXXIII : Christmas in January

Im probably one of the worst bloggers out there.. Writing about something that happened a month ago..

Anyway its the first time I went to my work's staff party.. Im starting to feel very very lazy in dolling up. I was hesitant to come but everyone in Pastry is coming so I did. I got an extra ticket expecting somebody to be my date but almost everyone I asked was busy.. or they just didnt want to be with me LOL either way I got a last minute date... Czarina, my classmate from Culinary school. yay!

I didnt took much pictures. Like what I said I was lazy.. I didnt want to carry a dslr so I only have my phone and my instax mini that day..

I ditched right after dinner.. which kind of got me in trouble.. The next day my chef said Id better have a good reason for leaving early without even saying bye or taking a group pic with the whole pastry team. XD

So many awkward moments during that night.. mostly because most people didnt recognized me.. TT I must really really look ugly during work eh?

CXIV : Gluttony and Girl Talks

My definition of a friend is too... profound? or so what somebody told me. This pretty lady beside me is named Chiui (visit her blog -click- ) and I met her maybe over a year ago when she left a comment on my blog.

First meeting, 2nd meeting, 3rd meeting and then this... 

That week I surprisingly had 5 days straight without work so I texted Chiui if she wanted to hang out. 

Moving on.. Original plan was to do a cruise around Vancouver but unfortunately, it was raining that day so we had to change plans.. Chiui and I met up at Landsowne. 

It was my first time around the area, I was quite surprised by how many restaurants there were on Alexandra Road. So.. Chiui wanted Korean food.. according to her.. there's two Korean restaurants in the area. One looks expensive and the other place was "cute" as described by her friend. She haven't tried any of the two yet..

Anyhoo it turned out that the expensive restaurant she was talking about was Jang Mo Jib. Ive been to their Vancouver -Robson St branch a couple of times but I cant be sure about the prices. And since Ive tried it already and we were curious about what that "cute" meant.. we decided to go to the other restaurant which was called Haroo.

The restaurant was kind of hidden, I think. I really like the atmosphere inside the restaurant! The mismatched tables and chairs.. it just gives you that welcoming aura, the feeling of being at home. Service wasnt as formal too and the owner/waiter was even wearing a floral apron and you could see him making kimchi on the back whenever he's not serving or taking orders, which I think was cool.

We both got something from the lunch special. I dont really remember how much it was but it was pretty cheap compared to other restaurants. I got the jajangmyeon with ganjang tteokbokki which I enjoyed the most!!  Chiui had the Bulgogi fried rice thingy? The jajangmyeon tastes different than what I had before and I dont know which is more authentic. 

After the meal.. we were looking for a cafe for tea and possibly dessert but neither of us had cash (and most of the restaurants here only takes cash - so if you're planning to go don't forget cash!!) We ended up going to Well Tea and had bubble tea (that I dont have a picture of). 

Funny part is.. there was this store nearby w/c was called superbored. The windows were tinted and there were two businessmen-looking guys outside. Chiui and I came up with these weird and dirty thoughts.

Scenario : Guy 1 was "superbored" and was looking for "something" to do.. Guy 2 was asking Guy 1 his type of girl.. cause you know ;) special service.. 

We were so curious so we went inside the store and was surprised to see that this was actually a clothing store. Imagine our faces when we got inside :)) hahaha so dirty minded LOL. 

After a long chat over bubble tea.. We decided to go to Richmond Centre, I got some stuffs from Fruits and Passion, Chiui got an earphone. We went to F21 but we got frustrated and just walked out :P

We then went to White Spot for our late dessert... 

We both had this trio thingy of desserts. I liked the apple pie the most!!! we also had a strawberry mojito which tastes sooooo gross.. eek

And of course, whats a day with a girl friend without taking pictures?

XCIX: Project 365 (366) - Fail!

I signed up for tumblr to start this "Project 365" , which unfortunately I havent updated for weeks..

Anyway since my 365  page was a failure already and this blog is almost dying...

Ill just use this blog for the Project 365 + 1

XCIV: Bye Twenty-Eleven

Twenty eleven brought a lot of changes.. I thought about giving up this blog, but I ended up keeping it (glad I did).. though 2010 had been more exciting, 2011 brought a lot of unexpected and yummy things.. XD

So the usual year-end summary (?) :)

LXXI: 7 Beauty Characteristics Tag

it would be easier to make a post about my 7 ugly characteristics hahaha

Okay~ well say hello to my no-make up, blemished skin

thanks to pre-menstrual breakouts kkk

I have been relying on too much make up 

that I dont really feel confident bare face

U_U and I dont think I look good without bangs

So okay here are the 7 things I like about myself~~

1. Legs - 
I love my muscles down there, many girls had been asking me if they could swap legs with mine hehe

ignore the pose ~ I was bored that day hahaha

muscles are all thanks to ballet & high heeled shoes haha

2. Eyes -

I like the shape of my eyes ^^

I may have a really small crease but its even better than before~

I got bitten by some insect years ago..then my eyelids became really puffy

and when it was healed ~ ta-da higher crease

too lazy to take another photo ~ L eye with eyelid tape

falsies doesnt stick long without the eyelid tape kk

3. Beauty Mark -

It's what makes me unique~

I used to hate it cause some people would tease me because of it 

But nah, I wouldnt want it removed

Dont you think I'll look weird..

see we grew up together hahaha!

4. Figure -

You probably know how much I like food! haha

and that I am currently a bum who doesn't even exercise ><"

and yeah, I am someone who always fakes being sick 

just to be excused from PE class haha!

No I dont have the hourglass body

but nyaa for a lazy panda

this is okay~~

5. Dimples -

Ive got two small dimples which I find really cute hehe

you could see my left dimple on the very first pic in this post

I have another one on the right, just below my mole so its hard to notice

6. Lips -

I like my lip color and its shape hehe~

7. My Smile? -

People say I have a very cute smile haha

Im such a happy person hahaha
