Random Facts About Me

1. I've had a trauma after a huge pot fell on my head last November, so now I am hyper sensitive to objects situated above my head. :))

2. Im OCD in a way that I count things (like coins) for at least 7 times

3. Im the most indecisive person you'll ever meet, I always need others opinion

4. I went to university at 14, switched major 4 times and finally after 6 years Im graduating this March :) (grad ceremony would be on May though)

5. I like food so much that I decided to enter the food industry :)

6. I have about 4 blogs, this is my personal blog, my food blog : Oishii Please , my Project 365 and my blog about love (w/c was password protected) The Daydreamer :) but Ill give the pw if you bug me haha

7. I love lomography, polaroids.. basically I love film camera's

8. Asian cruise would be my dream vacation, though I really wanted to go to Greece, Napa Valley and to Mont Saint Michel too.

9. If Im to relive, re-experience a certain chapter of my life... that would be when I was 10.. lying on a beach, in an isolated island watching a meteor shower / storm.

10. I dont know how to swim nor how to whistle :P

seriously the weirdest thing happened last Thursday... my ex-classmate Shelvy and her other classmate was looking for inspiration for their pastry class. So yeah they were browsing through google's images under "plated desserts" and suddenly Shelvy called me showing me my picture and when they clicked it, it goes to this blog TT hahaha (do i freaking look like a plated dessert? :P)

1. What is your HG foundation?
I rarely put any make-up on these days and when I do I use BB cream instead.

2. What is your daily skincare routine?
I am the worst when it comes to skin care.. I wash my face with Skin foods Aloe Vera Bubble Cleanser. If I remember.. I use the Peach Sake toner, emulsion, serum and the Tomato Whitening Cream

3. What is your favorite movie ever?
Thats tough, I dont watch a lot of movies so....

4. Do you like Korean cosmetics?
Ive only tried Skinfood's BB cream, so i cant really tell :/

5. What is your favorite brand for skincare? why you love it?
Skinfood!! Its the only product that worked on me :)

6. Do you use eye cream?
No...

7. What is your favorite book now?
Im reading some cooking related books now haha. Well mostly I read children novels LOL.. fictions are always the best XD especially when theyre about magic, adventures and mystery.. Im also reading B1 Gang ~ its a Filipino mystery novel (they have free e-books online yey!)

8. What are you doing when you have leisure time?
Aaah I miss having free time... The last time that i had a day off I made some panna cotta made from kanten (seaweed gelatin) and flavored with genmaicha tea also I made some blood orange syrup infused with sencha tea... experimenting for a project ^^

9. Do you like to eat junk food?
Not anymore.. Id rather have real food :)

10. Do you collect something? What are your collections?

XCV : Busy Year

I was recording a video 10min before 2012 when my friend called me on skype and so I ended up talking with her.

I thought this quarter would be pretty easy as we only have 3 subjects, but I guess not. We were to work in our schools restaurant 3x a week, one lecture class plus externship (99hrs)

I still feel really uncomfortable in the kitchens being around shelves and big pots (traumatized by an accident). I was trying to clear my mind, but yeah I think I was too anxious today so I was disappointed with myself ><"

Anyway Id still try to make that video...
I cant promise anything but Id try

Busy first week (will be at school 4x this week, work on the weekends plus a doctors appointment and one with a paychologist for the trauma xD and appointment w the concussion clinic)

I hope everything turns out well

XCIV: Bye Twenty-Eleven

Twenty eleven brought a lot of changes.. I thought about giving up this blog, but I ended up keeping it (glad I did).. though 2010 had been more exciting, 2011 brought a lot of unexpected and yummy things.. XD

XCIII : Merry Christmas

this is my Christmas gift for my boyfriend..
He wanted the huge Domo plushy which was around $300 @__@
so I tried to make one myself.. about 2ft and a few inches..
and that explains why Domo looks so weird haha
(cause it was hand sewn by Jessica and Jessica doesnt like measurements XD)

Christmas is such a big thing in my country, Its my 2nd time celebrating Christmas abroad.

We didnt have that much food as there was only me, my mom and my two younger siblings. I usually think Christmas is the happiest time of the year, add the fact that you always have loads of foood.

Anyhoo I went back to work after 3 weeks of being almost confined at home. I was only required to do a 4 hr shift (half my usual schedule) plus heaps of break time and light duties.. The doctor said to still take it easy so Im on light duties until next week and I have to report to my doctor and the nurse weekly ><"

Since I was too lazy to take new photos... here are some stuffs I got for Christmas (and sometime before that)

XCII : I want to Believe

My mom is watching X files and the title caught my attention..
I want to believe in a lot if things so.... ^^;

Out of boredom, I skimmed through my almost-a-hundred-blog-posts and I realized that I never really updated this blog. I used to talk about the things happening in my life and I didn't do that for uh 6 mos?

Ive been saying that I was busy at school / work .. well I went on food trips in between. I went to an amusement park last August (and yeah I still didnt rode roller coasters haha). I turned twenty and I finally tried bowling..

Anyway fast forward to present....

The picture above were taken yesterday at a Korean restaurant in downtown. Oh yeah that too, Ive been eating a lot of Korean foods lately hehehe.

XCI : Dear Brother

I rarely call my brother by his first name. When I do, it means Im mad at him. And today I did..

Aside from ice cream, I really really (like) love camera's. Not because Im too vain that I love taking looooots of selca, but because I feel like I should capture everything :p

Im more of the vintage-lomo fan. I prefer film camera's than the digital one's. Though film could be really expensive, I think its easier to express creativity and pictures are more real (no photoshopping and all)

Last Friday, I bought my 6th camera. A Diana F+ Novella together with the Instant back + to transform it into a Polaroid or an instant camera.

I already have the Fujifilm Instax mini but Lomography camera are my dream camera's and since it was on sale (50% off) i hurriedly snatched the camera. Whats surprising is that its an additional 50% off so I only paid around $30 :D
**which made film more expensive than the camera haha

Just imagine my face when I unboxed it LOL. First 3 shots were wasted TT thats for not reading instructions and for being a Lomography-noob. 4th and 5th were okay. I used half the film already so I decided to save the rest.

And thats when my brother entered the scene.

Brother: Wheres your new camera ^_^
Me: **cause I was so so happy I started showing him the shots I took**
Brother: **took the camera** Ooh this is so light **examines the camera carefully and kaboom open it**

sucks! ><"

XC : Bye Boring Wall

Hello blog! Hello readers (if theres still someone who visits)

I keep on saying that Im busy, to think of it I still have time for blogging if I knew how to spend time wisely..

Anyway I was away from school and work for a week. Slacking off LOL no. Unfortunately I had an accident at work resulting to a head concussion so the doctor told me to get a week off. Sucks cause theres a lot going on this week.

Call me stubborn but because of these things I still tried going to class and trust me, it didnt turned out okay.

Its so boring staying at home and my room looks so boring as well. Ive been wanting to change my wall color and get a photo hanger thingy but I could only find one online, and shipping was a joke :p Im cheap like that so yesterday I just decided to make one myself and I also bought a tree sticker for my wall since I dont have time to paint the wall (or I might be just to lazy to paint it)

So heres how it looks like now :D

Ow blogging... Now seems like the only thing I know how to write are my daily journals for my kitchen classes. So anyway yeah I have school this summer (and work as well) basically I go to school for five days and work for four or five days.
So dont hate me for not updating or not visiting your blogs ㅋㅋㅋ

So I was supposed to blog about some events but because of school (and a little bit of procrastination) I ended up not doing so...

Well there's a reason for the title..
or should I say reasons

One of my classmates from elementary school (from PH) told me that he has a friend in Vancouver turns out that that "friend" is also my classmates friend. haha

so last month, during my 2 week vacation from school.. Pauline invited me to hang out with her friends at new West, I brought my friend Carrie with me and we got to meet that friend ㅋㅋㅋ

second.. my mom's co-worker knows my PT professor from univ days at the PH

and third my co-worker knows one of my classmate from univ (still from PH)

So weird haha. Is it beacuse I have a small circle of friends, Im stereotyping and only hangs out with the same people or do I know a lot of people... haha

Anyway also last month, Carrie made some Korean food for me and Amy

and sadly that was also Carrie's last week in Vancouver

I miss my Unni's~

Carrie gave a lot of stuffs before she left

Did I tell you that she also studied aesthetics

and that she gave me some products to try (for my blemished skin)

LXXXIV: Its a Small World

Oh yes it is~!

Anyway I bought my very first BB Cream and Dolly Wink falsies (Baby Cute No. 6) weeks ago.

I loooove how we have a lot of Asian Malls and Asian products here in BC. Ive been dying to try BB creams and Im surprised to see how many brands they have in the Asian malls here. A bit pricey though but at least I dont have to wait for shipping and if in case you changed your mind ~ its easy to return it back. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Now about the BB cream - I bought the Missha Perfect Cover #23, Im not sure how much it is on the internet nyaaaa I didnt do any research but anyway I got mine for $33.60 12% tax included

Another positive thing about buying it in person ~ is that you get to try them first. They even have signs saying they give out free BB cream samplers but I was too shy to ask. So anyway since Ive read a lot of good reviews on the Missha brand I told the saleslady that I want the Missha one. They have the original BB cream, the Vita cream and the Perfect cover and since the Perfect cover sounds promising I bought that one.

Ive been using this for 3 weeks now and I could say my skin is really getting better. It has a really good coverage, I used to have a lot of scars on my face but because of the BB cream ~ my skin became lighter so there are only a few visible scars left..

The only thing I dont like about this BB cream is that it makes me look so pale see above picture. I also think the color is way too light for me - at least thats what I think, cause other people said it was just right. Hmm Oh yeah another positive thing is that its very long lasting- I even use it at work where I am in a very Hot kitchen. But I dont think I would re-purchase it again, Id love to try a different brand or maybe a darker toned BB cream? if there is oneㅋㅋㅋ

On the Dolly Wink Falsies Baby Cute no.6, Actually its also the first time Ive used real lower falsies I didnt even put every piece LOL. Im not really used to that effect so I was kinda conscious about how I looked that day yeah.. Sorry for being such a noob.

You see my make-up is usually just BB cream or a Tinted Moisturizer, HEAVY liquid eyeliner!!!, some yellow-green-red and white eyeshadow, a peach or brown blusher and thats it. I like my lip color haha!

So next time I'll most probably try Dolly Wink's upper falsies~ Who cant resist Tusbasa's really cute face. Im also tempted to buy the Eyeshadow darn it!

Now you see the downside of having all these products in reach.

but I really envy those people who can wear Circle Lenses
my eyes are just tooo small for them

LXXXIII: Summer

Its always an adventure when Im with Carrie ~ If youve been reading my blog, remember how we got lost at SFU way back and now we found ourselves at Horseshoe Bay.

Original plan was to go to Ambleside Beach , which was just after the Lions Gate Bridge but since the bus driver told us that we need to get off at the last stop, and we were soo obedient that even though we saw a sign saying Ambleside Park... we still chose to trust the bus driver. hahaha!

So there... Hello ferry terminal and hello to the awesome view. Not bad, we took a lot of pictures, walked around, stared at the sea, sat on a bench while talking about the future - dreams and plans! and even played on the childrens playground xD we got on the seesaw and the swing, whats funny was some of the children stared at us while we were on the seesaw haha

Before heading back to the Ambleside Beach, we stopped by a Gelato shop near the bus station ㅋㅋ ㅋ and finally we were at the Beach. Again walking while talking about the future XD

On the way home a car stopped right in front of us, then a weird guy wearing a mask got off and went for Carrie and guess what he was trying to slap Carrie with a huuuggge fish. LOL Vancouver was pretty crazy that day at Downtown there were people throwing beer bottles. Good thing we escaped right before the riot got worse..

LXXXII: Stella~

Pictures taken the day before my friend Stella (지은) came back to Korea..and believe it or not, that was just the fourth time that we got to hang out together. Too short to developing a friendship? Not really~

After finishing a plate of sashimi and a sushi party tray ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
We went to Robson Street where Stella wanted to buy something~ but she couldnt stay long and since I still have 2 hours before my shift, Carrie stayed with me and so we went to this Gelato place. it was good but still nothing beats Gelatone's

and this so reminds me of Hong Kong~~

LXXXI: Tourism Challenge

Picture Spam xD Last May 26 I went with my Mom and her 2 friends to do their Tourism Challenge. We first went to the Police Museum in Cordova, I brought my DSLR that day and guess what.. I forgot my memory card at home haha so the pics at the Police Museum are all LQ so I didnt posted any. We also stopped by at our workplace then rode one of those Sight Seeing Bus at Canada Place.

It was fun! I felt like a tourist of some sort as the bus driver was also giving info's about Vancouver.So... It went around the Coal Harbour, passing the Olympic Torch, Burrard, the Art Gallery and all the way to Kitsilano. We went to the Museum of Vancouver, Space Centre and the Maritime Museum my mom's friend then lend me her memory card~~

We rode the trolley again it went around Kitsilano saw beautiful houses and really cool cars ><" And this is where Ive learned that a lot!! of Hollywood films were shoot here. The trolley also dropped by Granville Island where Ive always wanted to go TT And then to Yaletown, Vancouver's Main Library, the stadium in Chinatown where you can find the world's narrowest? slimmest? building xD

Last stop was Dr. Sun Yat Sen Garden then we ate at a restaurant in Chinatown sorry I forgot the name. They serve Filipino-Chinese foods so steamed buns arent called baozi, but Siopao and you can get Pansit and my ever so favorite spicy squid

LXXX: Downtown

Prolly removing disqus was a great idea then? xD So anyway its my summer vacation already, but I guess Vancouver mightve skipped Summer as its getting colder and colder here brrr and i thought I could throw my jackets and go back to wearing shorts again, hmp
scratch that ~ Vancouvers weather so unpredictable.. It was soo cold during the weekend but sunny the last days

Hmm I told you guys that I work at a 5 star hotel, so yeah I get to see and talk to the great Chefs and cooks there. They always ask about school and gives tons of advices. Also I had new friends and got to go around Vancouver~~~ pictures!! ^___^

So last month? I met Insu then he introduced me to his friend Ray. They have this book about Canada, you know those travel books and they wanted to try one of the restaurants in there so that led us to Robson Street but then decided to go to Steamworks in Gastown near Coal Harbor instead. On the way we got distracted by the view in Canada Place~ North Van is sooo pretty!!

I guess Steamworks was a pretty famous restaurant, I love the interiors but it was way tooo crowded so its hard to take pictures. We had the tempesta pizza and the chicken tenders and fries. It was good but nothing really special.

Then we went to Vancouver Outlook~

Dont you just love city lights?

Its one of my favorite things about the city hahaha

LXXIX: Procastination + Fan Page

Oh my~!Its been uh 2 months since the last time I updated my blog.Im so sorry Ive been so busy with cooking school and work.

Anyway thank you guys for making me smile. kkk. Yesterday when i checked my formspring account there was a question/message asking when I will blog again :D
so here you go ^__~

I feel shy about posting some recent pictures though, Ive gained a lot of kg the past months.. Being always surrounded by food I am always tempted to eat something. Ive been getting a lot of comment from my friends saying Im chubby already ><" and you know, I dyed my hair unevenly xD (Palty's -Milk Tea Brown) and Its getting looooonggggeeeerrr now but I have zero plans of getting a hair cut, yet.

and yes! I got a new camera, all thanks to my Dad :D and Ive finally got to wear the strawberry-printed usamimi headband from Ani :)

I made a lot of new friends, went out with some and I also went around Vancouver with my Mom. All that, I would be sharing soon (of course there would be pictures)

but before I end this post...

I had a very busy week

first week at school, work in between

and some hours wandering around the city

Okay, anyways thank you to everyone who wished me luck

but I say determination and self-confidence

nothing is really impossible eh?

see how I managed to snag a job at a very fancy place with only a month of work experience

Moving on

First week at school was so much fun

yeah fun even though I had to wake up at 4:30am

and leave the house before the sun even rises

I met a lot of people

made new friends

and got tons of assignments

For our Kitchen Class

we practiced knife skills

cutting veggies (and fingers) LOL

and making stocks

Thats pretty much it

and I always always bring myself down

but Im glad I had outgrown that

Im proud to say that Im becoming more independent

So I haven't been updating the last few weeks
Work had been keeping me quite busy

Im usually scheduled early mornings
due to food preparations and stuffs
and it takes an hour for me to get to work
so yeah I leave the house just before sunrise :/
so when I get home
its either Im too tired or sleepy
so I always forget to blog

Last week I went to SFU-Burnaby with my friend Carrie
to visit Shar
It took us an hour to get there
but we only got to see Shar for like 5min haha

Rule no 1
Always make sure your cellphone is fully charged!

the campus was so big!
and freezing
as it is in the mountain
my phone is dead
and Carrie's phone doesnt have a signal
LOL spell b-a-d-l-u-c-k
add to that we have no clue where to find Shar

We spend 30+mins in the cold
looking for pay phones
then an hour waiting outside Shar's room
and complaining about how hard it is to get stuffs here
how the stores close so early
and how expensive things are LOL

that pond thingy was frozen (almost)

Carrie thought Filipino's arent very friendly

1. Legs -
I love my muscles down there, many girls had been asking me if they could swap legs with mine hehe

ignore the pose ~ I was bored that day hahaha

muscles are all thanks to ballet & high heeled shoes haha

2. Eyes -

I like the shape of my eyes ^^

I may have a really small crease but its even better than before~

I got bitten by some insect years ago..then my eyelids became really puffy

and when it was healed ~ ta-da higher crease

too lazy to take another photo ~ L eye with eyelid tape

falsies doesnt stick long without the eyelid tape kk

3. Beauty Mark -

It's what makes me unique~

I used to hate it cause some people would tease me because of it

But nah, I wouldnt want it removed

Dont you think I'll look weird..

see we grew up together hahaha!

4. Figure -

You probably know how much I like food! haha

and that I am currently a bum who doesn't even exercise ><"

and yeah, I am someone who always fakes being sick

just to be excused from PE class haha!

No I dont have the hourglass body

but nyaa for a lazy panda

this is okay~~

5. Dimples -

Ive got two small dimples which I find really cute hehe

you could see my left dimple on the very first pic in this post

I have another one on the right, just below my mole so its hard to notice

6. Lips -

I like my lip color and its shape hehe~

7. My Smile? -

People say I have a very cute smile haha

Anyway my sister just turned 12 last Friday
and for her birthday
I made a cake..

Its the first cake I made
and the first time I draw/decorated with icing
so yeah ~ excuse my messy decorations

Things I learned while decorating~
*buy more pastry bags
*buy that spatula thingy for smoothing the icing

Moving on~
I went to Aberdeen Centre yesterday

yes yes its an Asian mall!!!
theres no Western brand and the food court only serves Asian foods!! FTW!
and here is where you can find the only Daiso in Canada kkk

There are loads of cute clothes from Japan
but theyre so expensive like $300+
so even though they have a 50% discount
no thanks~! hahaha

It was fun going around the mall
lots of Cute stuffs
and pretty pretty Asian clothes
beware though~ people here are mostly Chinese

ssh I secretly took a picture~

Every store I entered the salesperson talks to me in Chinese
and some wont stop even though I told them I dont speak Chinese
while some would say sorry then ask if Im Korean or Japanese
nobody guess it right :/

After going around the mall
and buying 2 boxes of double eyelid tapes
stickers for my little sister and a wooden puzzle thingy for my little brother
I went to the Food court!

I couldnt decide whether to get a crepe or a Takoyaki / Okonomiyaki
but I ended up getting a Takoyaki
cause I really miss eating one

I sat on the corner of the food court
near the window and away from the people LOL

I chose to sit here cause

1: I hate it how people stares/looks at you

2: So I could ~~camwhore~~ take pictures wahaha

I love double eyelid tape!!

seriously there are times when I just wanna close this blog
Im out of things to blog about

And I so cant decide whether I should or not apply
at Capilano University
for Rehabilitation Medicine, since I used to study Physical Therapy
itll be something related..

I attended an information session yesterday
and it sounds great
but I also want to study Baking and Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts at VCC
and its always been my dream to be in the Culinary field

Anyway I made a new friend ~
I met her at Capilano University
she also attended the info session for the Rehab medicine program
She kind of approached me and wanted to make friends haha

Her name is Elise
She's from S.Korea
and its funny how the people I am meeting here are mostly Koreans
Elise told me that she went to study English in the Philippines before

and she was really surprised that I am Filipino

she said she thought I was Chinese :))

haha do I really not look like a Filipino :?

I also went to the Vancouver Aquarium last last week?

My hair is half rebonded and half permed

My hair was done by a Korean stylist~~ so maybe thats why you guys are always asking me if Im half Korean hahaha (cause of my hair ? XD probably)

Im not a model

even my teacher asked me if I was a model during the first day of class

and even a security guard from a grocery store once stopped me and asked if i was a model LOL!

I did a VTR for a modeling agency and signed under them before though

I did a few segments for a lifestyle TV show
a few photo shoots and stuffs but nah I dont really consider my self as a model~

We had a very busy, food-filled New Years Eve!

celebrated with our neighbor

If you've been following me on twitter

you might have heard that our family checked in at a hotel last December 30

Checked out the next day and went straight to Robson Street

a shopping district at Downtown, Vancouver

and bought some late Christmas presents

and a new shoes & a rain boots

imagine some Asian girl with a camera on her neck

with a pink luggage with her right hand

and shopping bags on her left

walking around a busy street filled with shoppers

catching the last weeks sale LOL!

Anyway just found out that I gained 9kg in 5 months

why is the world full of yummy foodies

glad the food dont go straight to the tummy

they get stucked on my cheeks xD

Hey everyone

Did you enjoyed Christmas?

Hope you had fun like I did..
Anyway, I told you I made some Cheesecake last Christmas Eve ~ right?
So here are some pictures..

The Cheesecake was actually a request from the neighbor
Then my Mom just told me to make another one for us~~

We celebrated Christmas Eve at the neighbors house
as theyre also having an advance Birthday celebration there

Lasagna (Mom made this) , my Cheesecake, Rice, some Filipino Foods ~ Nilaga, Pancit and Sisig!

We also had a Karaoke party
I didnt sing! as I've got a really embarrassing singing voice
but it was fun watching my Mom sing and dance
too bad I didnt take a video LOL

But what made me really happy
Was the fact that everyone liked the Cheesecake I made teehee

the guests were asking what store they bought it
someone even said it was perfect and how its even better than the cheesecakes from this or that store
Although they wouldn't believe that I made the Cheesecake.. why?

One of the guest asked if I was an HRM student (hotel and restaurant management)
So my Mom and our neighbor told her I used to study Physiotherapy
and they were like
"You have to study Physiotherapy to be able to make yummy Cheesecakes"

LOL

They actually wanted to pay me for the Cheesecake

but I really find Cooking and Baking FUN!

that I dont really mind getting paid for doing those

just give me the ingredients and Ill make you something

And yeah~

We gave them some DVDs as gift

and look at what I wrote on the card

Now time to show you some of the things I got

LVIX:Do I look Chinese?

Finally done with the new layout
Failed with Plan A but Im glad this turned out great.

I cant figure out how Adobe Illustrator works so I used Photoshop to draw the banner instead~~ hehe

Also added those sparkles thingy on the cursor,
and finally figured out how those hover effects works ~ check out the tabs under the banner..
the About Me page is still empty though

Codings are so confusing yet Fun

I also cleaned my room the other day
I so miss my stuffed toys
no more cute childish stuffs :P

Anyway~~~

I decided to tape the cards I got for my last birthday to give the room some color...
the one with the Santa was from last years Christmas it was drawn by my (7 or 8 yr old?) cousin Glenn

Oh yeah just last week I dropped by this Store

Saw some really pretty porcelain dolls

and these reminded me of the blogger Carizza

There are more of them here, and theyre all so cute ~~
I like the first one the most though and the last one looks a lot like my porcelain doll back at Manila
*even the dress is kinda similar

Funny / Weird thing:

While at the store a sales lady asked me to help her, thats because of these two Chinese customers who doesnt speak English and the sales lady thought I was also Chinese.
On the way home, an old lady talked to me in Chinese @__@

Im always mistaken to be Chinese ~~ how come?? I dont think I look like it..

Or do I?? Do I look Chinese to you?

LIV: Pre-Halloween

Last October 28 we went to a Halloween Party for Kids
at the hotel where my mom works

Okay I didnt dressed up
but we did prepared something for my little sister
It was supposed to be a guro lolita inspired outfit
but turned out to be more pirate-ish than guro hehe

These were hand sewn *ehem ehem
except for the tights and hat ~ which was from an H&M sale

funny story
while on the train ~ you look so neat lets rip your tights!!!
So I did while my mom ripped her skirt teehee
so people were like @__@?? hehe

We did her hair at the hotel
polluted the wash room with hair sprays and hair color sprays hehe

Anyway there we watched the movie How to Train your Dragon

It was a very nice movie although I kept on calling his dragon
Chubby our pets name haha

They had hotdogs, pizza and some popcorn and candy corns which I kept on snacking on
The popcorn was so yummy and buttery

LIII: Blueberry Cheesecake

Being home alone actually makes me so productive

See I even made some Blueberry Cheesecake
it was super easy to bake
but what I loved the most was the part where you eat to your hearts rather tummys content

I finally completed the admission requirements and submitted my application form for Baking and Pastry Arts..

So Im a step closer to reaching one of my goals!!

LII: Choco Raspberry

We visited our Mom's previous employer lat October 23rd
They've been asking us to visit ages ago but we were busy then so there..

Funny for the 4 year old Sam took us straight to the washroom to show us their toilet
hahaha
This kid is just so crazy about toilets, he even have a book about them and the different toilets of the world LOL!

Anyway they got some Chocolate Raspberry cake for us
it looks so yummy but Im not really into Chocolates so I had some cupcakes instead

Theyve got a really pretty glass house

thats my mom and my younger brother

theres a small koi pond behind those glass

me and my siblings with the cute cute Sacha~ she so looks like a doll!! cuuutee

The washroom has so many cute doodles teehee

Didnt took a lot of photos hehe
I was busy playing with Sam and Sacha that day
They were so so hyper but sweet
Sam kept on calling us "My love" with the cute British accent of course
and Sacha was such a darling she loves to sing also hugging and kissing hehe
these kids begged us to stay for dinner hehe

It was fun

Other than that~~

Ive got two stuffs on the mail!! Yey~ yey yey..

It was from my friend Joyce and another one from My Asian Fashion

Finally I got Joyce's Christmas gift from last year haha
She actually sent it to me last January while I was still at the Philippines but it was sent back to her and finally it found its way here hihi
She gave me a wallet from le Sportsac

then I got the black and red legging from the My Asian fashion Shop ~ its like a reward store for the members of the site. You earn an activity point per post at the forum or by leaving comments and stuffs like that so their I used my activity points for these hehe.

LI: Grouse Mountain

So heres the late post I owe you guys..

My mom took a vacation from her work
so last last Saturday
We went to North Vancouver's famous Grouse Mountain
*its a perfect skiing spot during the winter

Anyway.. you have two choices on how to get to the top
One~ If youre the adventurous outdoorsy type then maybe you'd like the Grouse Grind
I haven't tried it though but I know you'll have to hike all the way up
Dont ask me how long ~ no idea
but my mom wanted us to try this on Summer so we'll see..

And Two ~ if you're lazy like me. just take the Sky Ride and enjoy the majestic view
but if you have Acrophobia fear of heights I dont suggest you take the lift..

Moving on they have this Lumberjack Show going on when we got there
we were lucky for it was the last performance for this season.
It was very enjoyable and funny too ~ those two sure know how to crack up jokes hehe
Also ~ do you know that they were world famous lumberjacks.
Yup you heard it right~ they've won on some international competitions which I cant remember haha

My mom said during summers they have bird shows instead so we'll also see about that if ever we do go there for the summer..

Included is the chair lift to the peak of Grouse Mountain.
Again if you have fear of heights, dont ride it.. kay? teehee
According to the brochure it would rise you to an altitude of 4,100 feet.
Im glad I dont have fear of heights or else I wont be able to appreciate the view hehe..

On the peak is the Eye of the Wind ~ again according to the brochure
Its the Worlds first and only wind turbine that allows you to stand in a clear glass view pod.
you have to pay extra and book early if you want to try it

Also you could try the Zip line, Paragliding or a Helicopter Tour but you have to pay extra and book early to try these.

When we got down we spotted three wild grizzly bears hehe..

There are also two orphaned grizzlies but they were sleeping somewhere when we went to the habitat so we didnt get to meet them.

They also have wolves but we didnt went there.

They also have free theater shows, ranger talks and guided eco tours..

Thats all for Grouse Mountain..
Oh by the way they have a restaurant and a souvenir shop up there and you could dine on a deck which has a very lovely view..

XLIX: Pastry Land

Time flies so fast
Just a month ago I was still there at the Ph

Anyway heres another late update

Last October 10, 2010
that's right 10 10 10
Our Aunt and a cousin gave us a tour around

It was FUN!

We even got to ride the sea bus to North Vancouver and the Canada line/ Skytrain all the way to the last stations haha

So there.. First destination was North Vancouver
and so we took the sky train to Waterfront

Vanilla bean smothered with loads of cinnamon powder *add some chocolate powder and ta-da perfect .. even my sister liked it

you could see how much we were enjoying our drinks, right? teehee

endless sipping hahaha

So there we finally got to ride the sea bus
I have a picture of it on my post here ~ Dumlings

North Vancouver seems like a pretty place
Theyve got mountains and more tree... :D

We didnt went far though cause its hard to go around a place youre not familiar with
especially without a car..
Buses and stops are so confusing hahaha

After eating we went around Lonsdale Quay Market
which is full of pastries :P

So many pastries right?
you might already know how much I love sweets.. pastries and stuffs

Oh well someday Im gonna make some.. only prettier and more tastier haha

Anyway we saw this alien looking octopus hehe

This sight makes me think about Takoyaki!! LOL

so there we went back to Vancouver and again taking the seabus

North Vancouver got some pretty views ayt?

We then went to a mall called Pacific Centre

and heres a blurry outfit photo XD

and went around Downtown

and after that we took the skytrain across Burnaby then Surrey and then took the bus back to Vancouver

my cameras battery died so i didnt had pictures

So thats all for now..

next up will be again about North Vancouver but this time Ill take you to Grouse Mountain ~ we rode a cable car, the scenic chair and spotted some wild bears..

Oh yeah I guess I should share some pictures from the U Photo shoot I went to before leaving the Philippines..

And yeah I also made some blueberry cheesecake the other..

XLVIII: Dumplings

October 3, Saturday
Our neighbor slash our moms friend were so generous that they gave us a tour to Stanley Park
but before that we first dropped by at Zellers ~ Oakridge to buy some snacks
uh and they were also the ones who paid for that teehee

So there.. it was also our first time at Downtown

I know it would be boring seeing the same thing over and over again LOL

It was so cold up there brrr on the other side I saw some kawaii looking raccoons
but but since I heard they bite and that they have rabies ow kowai!
and was even more scared for they started marching towards me, well my food that is..

and yes well they both work at the same hotel but different departments

but sadly after browsing the menu they dont have dumplings

only wanton soup

we also had rice ~ of course

Chow Mein

some fried tofu which was very very salty!!! blah

some lemon chicken
but we asked for the sauce to be separated ~ for my sister hates sauces XD

and of course some Fortune Cookie after meal

it says "Utilize your talent for getting things organized"

Chinese food is the perfect comfort meal..

Went to Moberly School for my little siblings school application

and yeah that was also my first time riding the bus here..

XD seriously you could ride and get down anywhere~!
And we usually ride jeepneys not buses teehee

and got lost LOL

but seriously there are Chinese signs everywhere!!

Went back to Moberly for my siblings assessment

XLV: 2nd day at Vancouver

September 25
just a few more posts then Id be blogging bout the present Go go!

I woke up early that day
so i went around the house and took some pictures ~~~

So heres the front view of the house

We are renting btw ~ yes were not rich XD
and we get half the first floor
and I get to have my own room

I wont be posting a picture of my room yet
but for the meantime
heres our living room & kitchen

now look what I found on the backyard

we also have tomatoes, carrots, corn and some other greens that Im not familiar with LOL

and meet our kawaii neighbor Chanel

Around 1 or 2pm we then went to Metrotown (a mall) to eat late lunch hehe
So that was our neighbor giving us a small tour at Vancouver
and yes they also paid for our lunch (when I say our that means me and my 2 little siblings LOL)
moms still at work

So anyway
we were supposed to have this late lunch at some Japanese restaurant nearby but it was closed..
Which makes me wonder why restaurants closes after lunch then resumes at 5pm?
haha weird ~ or at least for me that was..

Why is everything so expensive?????? LOL

but was surprised to see how big servings are

so prolly youll be seeing less food blogging
huhu I hope no~!!

I told you serving was tooo big.. I only ate like 1/8 of my food :(

Our Aunt took us out all the Way to North Vancouver, around Downtown then to Surrey and back home
but it was fun

XLIV: Airplane food + My 2 Birthdays

Skipped an event~~
The night before leaving Manila we had dinner
but the pictures were blurred so skip to the next day

My Birthday

It didn't really felt like it was my birthday or some special day
probably because we were set to leave the same day
and were too busy with the last minute packing

Some friends came by though and gave me gifts and letters (I actually asked them to give me letters.. as you noticed I like writing~~ and I like reading and getting letters hahaha its like the perfect gift :P im old school sorry)
Our farewell committee was well, there were many of them who wants to see us of
haha so they dont want me here :? LOL

We left the house at around 2pm?
Then checked in our baggage and went out to have our last meal at Jollibee
Its a fast food ~ rival of Mc D hehe

Im so gonna miss their Mango Peach Pie
and grrr they were sold out by the time I decided to get another serving arrggh

By 5pm we finally said goodbyes

Yes it was of course sad, I nearly cried haha

It was a 12 hour long flight
More than half of it, we were asleep
then the rest i spent on solving my Sudoku book & listening to the Korean channel on the planes radio it was wonder girls 2 different tears again and again haha

Oh yeah the food was not bad
my picky sister actually said lets go eat here again haha
but why do kids get more food?? haha

Dinner:

Kids dinner ~ Chicken fillet, corn and carrots, mashed potato, potato salad, bread & butter, brownies & chamyto (a probiotic drink)

my dinner ~ Chicken idk haha plus rice and some atsara, salad, bread and butter, leche flan and your drink of choice

then Breakfast:

Kids breakfast ~ corned beef, egg, green peas & rice, cereal, milk, and some fruit

my breakfast ~ omelette, mushroom, sausages, hash brown, bread & butter and some mamon cake

We arrived earlier than expected but it took us some time at the immigrations
there were many people waiting XD

Some airport officials greeted me and my siblings ~~ "Ni hao" haha
Were not Chinese! XD

So there, we found our mom waiting
And she brought us some coats cause yeah were not used to the 15C temperature
Manila's always at around 30C (last summer it was 38.5C :P)

And yes since time is advanced at the Ph it was still my birthday when we arrived
So I aged 2 years??
hahaha

My mom prepared some food
and some of her friends brought more foods, cakes and birthday gifts as well yiee

XLIII: Mushroom Soup

More Catching ups to do....

So September 22, 2 days before I left Manila
We planned to meet up with some high school friends

Since everyones hungry and on budget
We choose to eat at KFC

after ~~ Donna my best friend arrived
she just had a class that afternoon (yup shes a grade school teacher) and wasnt supposed to come for she has another class early next morning
but I sent her a text message and you know I can be scary like that
*well not really I just did my technique of sending your friends some emotional text that goes something like.... so this means you dont love me anymore? Im leaving on the 24th so this would be the last time for us to meet and you dont want to see me even? :( so you dont love me then, and all this time i thought we were best friends"

hahahahaha

After dinner, like last time we went to QQ Box KTV

The room we got was roomier than last time
I guess you could fit more than 20 people in here and costs only 550 Php ($12.2 per hour)

And because not everyone could stay late
we asked to be transferred to a smaller room
And it cost 250Php ($5.6)
